Barnstorm Game Modes: 2v2, Clans, Events, Championships and Story
Ladder, 2v2, clans, Clan Wars, seven daily events, championships, ranked seasons and Story: every way to play Barnstorm and what each mode pays.

Barnstorm game modes go well past the ladder. Besides 1v1 sieges for trophies, you can team up in 2v2, fight for land with your clan, play a different event every day, enter knockout championships and work through a story campaign. Here is every way to play in the current build and what each mode pays.
New to the game? Start with the Barnstorm beginner's guide, which explains how a three-minute siege works.

Ladder battles and 2v2#
Ladder: 1v1 for trophies#
Tap Battle and the game looks for a real opponent with a similar trophy count. Pairing uses trophies only, never card levels. Wins bring trophies, gold and caravans, and trophies carry you up the Trophy Road through seven arenas (the Barnstorm arenas guide lists every unlock).

2v2: two decks, one fortress#
Open 2v2 from the Battle page, make a party and share its six-character code, or tap Invite clanmates. You each bring your own deck and defend the same fortress. You can also search alone for a random teammate, and if no other pair turns up within about 10 to 15 seconds, bots fill the empty seats.
The teammate panel shows your partner's next card, and pings like "Left lane!" keep you on one plan.
2v2 pays gold and Campaign Pass progress, never trophies, for up to 20 rewarded matches a day. A seat that never plays a card earns nothing.
Practice 2v2 against bots works offline.

In this Short, King Richard gets the Falcon Sultan as his random 2v2 teammate, and they argue until an enemy battering ram rolls right between them.
Clans, friends and Clan Wars#
Clans#
A clan holds up to 50 players, and starting one costs 1,000 gold. Each clan is Open, Ask to join (a Leader or Co-leader accepts) or Invite only. Since version 1.1.4, leaders can invite friends from their friends list, and an invited friend can join even an Invite-only clan.
Inside, you get clan chat, card requests (one every 8 hours) that clanmates fill with donations, and friendly battles with no trophies at stake. When a clanmate plays a friendly, a Watch button lets you join as a spectator.

Friends and DMs#
Every player has a short tag, such as #4XQ8T2P, on their profile. Open Friends from the top bar to add players by tag or name, chat in DMs and tap Fight to challenge a friend with your real card levels or with every card at level 9. Friendlies give no trophies, gold, caravans or quest progress.
Clan Wars#
Under Clan → War, the realm map has 21 lands, three in each arena region.
Monday is Invasion Day: the Raiders retake every land. The first clan to beat a land's Raider garrison three times claims it.
Attacks: a leader declares one, and the war battle is played at that land's war hour the next day. It's five duels, first clan to three wins, with cards capped at level 9.
The war chest pays for claims and attacks. Every ladder win by a member adds 10 gold.
Tribute: each land pays gold and essence every day at 00:00 UTC to members who have been in the clan for 24 hours or more.
The week: weekends score double, and rewards arrive Sunday at 21:00 UTC: gems and caravans for the top 10 clans and 300 gold for every fighter. The gems and caravans need your own war duel against a real player that week.
Events: a new mode every day#
The Events tab runs seven modes. A new one starts every day at 00:00 UTC, beginning on Monday:
Triple Ember (Monday): Ember refills three times as fast.
Night Siege (Tuesday): fog of war. Enemy troops only show inside light from your units, towers and fire.
Sudden Death Siege (Wednesday): the first crown wins.
Caravan Heist (Thursday): troops push a powder caravan on each bridge toward the enemy fortress, and it blows up when it reaches a tower.
Mirror Match (Friday): both players use the same deck.
Dragon Raid (Saturday): a co-op world boss.
Draft Duel (Sunday): you build your deck in a pick-one, pass-one draft.
Events cap cards at level 9, and no trophies are at stake. The PvP events pay 40 to 50 gold plus card copies per win, for up to 12 rewarded wins.
Dragon Raid#
All players fight the same Ember Dragon together, with three attacks each per raid. In each three-minute attack, your fortress holds out against fire breath, tail sweeps, dives and whelps, and only your damage counts. Attacks pay bronze, silver or gold rewards at 20,000, 70,000 or 150,000 damage. World chests open as the dragon hits 25, 50, 75 and 100%, and the raider who lands the final blow earns the Dragon Slayer title.
Siege Gauntlet#
This weekly challenge runs until you reach 12 wins or 3 losses, with cards capped at level 9. Every step on the reward ladder pays, and win 12 is a Royal Caravan. Your first run each week is free, and you get up to three retries at 100 gems each.
Championships and ranked seasons#
Championships#
The Championship pill on the Battle page opens the Live, Upcoming and Hall of Champions tabs. The Hall lists recent winners.
Knockout tournaments of 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128 players. Every card on both sides is exactly level 7.
The details screen shows the entry cost, the requirements (by default, 20 battles played) and the rewards for each place.
The bracket rolls: your next match is ready as soon as your opponent is known, and whoever shows up before the time limit (10 minutes by default) wins a no-show. Bots fill empty seats, and the final is best of three.
Rewards go to your Inbox: gems, caravans and the titles Champion, Finalist and Semifinalist. Three championship wins earn Grand Champion.
This Short follows the two kings as kids through a daily championship, with the real Live tab, the level-7 rule and the bracket, until a tornado cancels the final.
Ranked seasons#
A season lasts 30 days, the same as a Campaign Pass season.
Season rewards are based on your best trophies, in eight tiers from 300 to 4,000. From 3,000 you also earn the Legend title and badge.
The Top 100 earn gems, caravans and a title: Season Champion, Top 10 Legend or Top 100 Legend.
The reset: trophies above 3,000 keep half of the excess (3,600 becomes 3,300). Below that nothing changes, and Trophy Road progress never drops.
Story mode: The Stolen Queen#
Version 1.1.4 added Story mode. Season 1, The Stolen Queen, has 9 chapters starring King Richard, Queen Rose, Sultan Kadir and the squire Will. Each chapter opens with a cutscene, plays a special mission and ends with a cutscene and a reward.
Missions change every chapter. In Feast of Lions you hold the Keep for 90 seconds against masked riders. In Wrong Number your Ember doesn't refill, so you loot it from guards.
Stars: up to three per chapter. Your first win and every new star pay gold, gems or caravans.
Offline: missions run on your phone, and rewards arrive the next time you're online.
Titles: Messenger of the Queen for the prologue and Bridge Holder for Act I.

Story mode grew out of our YouTube series of the same name. Part 1 shows how the tale begins, and the in-game campaign retells it as a longer story with new twists.
Watch and learn: Battle Log, Barnstorm TV and Top 100#
Battle Log: your last 25 online battles as replays. Watch at 2x or 4x speed, or share one as a link.
Barnstorm TV: the closest recent battles from every arena.
Live: watch clanmates' friendlies and Clan Wars duels as they happen.
Top 100: Global, Local, Clans and Last season tabs. Open any profile and copy the deck.
Where to start? Climb the ladder for trophies and new cards, join a clan early for donations and tribute, and check the Events tab every day. When you want a fair test of skill, enter a championship.
